Sally Hansen Salon Effects Review

Ok, I had been wanting to try those Sally Hansen Salon Effects for a while now, but just haven't psyched myself up enough to purchase them. So, I get these email from a pr company, not affiliated with Sally Hansen, pitching plastic trends to me. I got excited and after emails back and fourth, I was sent the Sally Hansen Salon Effects to review.

Now, in case you live under a rock or something and you dont know what the Sally Hansen Salon Effects are, I'll tell you.  They are nail polish strips. No chipping, long wear, fast and easy. Basically, you get the color of the polish without all the hassle and mess.

I am apologizing now, the photos are not so good, I had to use my BB camera and it sucks. Ok the review.
This is what you get inside the package.
The insturctions are simple enough. All you do is choose a size that fits your nails, peel off the tab and apply it too your clean nail. You use the file to file away access strip.
Something like this.
MY OPINION: I am glad I didnt buy them. Not for nothing, they seem to be great for an on the go situation. It would save the mess trying to paint your nails in the car(as a passenger). However, for a retail price of $9.99, they were not that impressive. I have read other reviews on the product, they were mixed, some loved them and some didnt. The plus is, you would get designs that you wouldnt be able to get in a salon. No mess. No smell( my hubby loved). No drying time.
The negative, some of the sizes didnt fit to my nails. They are easy to tear. You cant tell in the pics, but there were some creases(which may have been me). If you make a mistake applying, you will need to remove the whole thing and use another strip. Again, $9.99 for one time wear is a little steep for me. In my opinion, I rather deal with actual nail polish. I would get more usage from a bottle of nail polish that at the most may cost me $8.50.
If anyone has tried the Salon Effects and has a different opinion, I would love to hear it.  Purchasing info, you can purchase the Sally Hansen Salon Effects at Walmart, Kmart, Walgreens and CVS, also RiteAid.
