Christian Dior designer John Galliano has been suspended from his position with the design house pending the out come of an investigation involving assault and anit-Semitic remarks by John. According to reports, Galliano got into an argument with a couple in Paris. Sidney Toledano, Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, said “Christian Dior has an unequivocal zero tolerance policy regarding anti-Semitism and racism.”
I don’t know what has flown up the fashionable rear ends of these designers. First Oscar de la Renta flies off the handle about First Lady Michelle Obama’s wardrobe and now John Galliano is being investigated for assault and anti-Semitic remarks. What happened to the days when designers were simply known for their clothing?
