Beyonce's Black Face

So in honor of the French magazine, L'Officiel Paris's 90th Anniversary and Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, Beyonce decided to go "black face". This was a voluntary decision. She wanted to return to her African roots. Which is fine, except the fact that this already African American female thought she had to paint her face darker to be more "African" is a bit offensive. However it really doesnt surprise me, considering she has been looking a little lighter in her L'Oreal commercials.

You get no props for this Beyonce. I am all for paying homage to the motherland, but black face has always been offensive to the black community. I understand having fun with fashion, being fashion forward, being edgy. But this is none of the three. Boo Beyonce Bye!
